To respond to comments and queries sent via the contact form; and

To manage subscriptions to my newsletter, Scriblerus.

Comments/Queries

If you leave comments or send queries on this site the data shown in the contact form is collected, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Visitor comments/queries may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Newsletter

Scriblerus is an author newsletter which provides subscribers with information about publications, events and news.

Scriblerus is distributed via MailerLite, a marketing automation platform. The terms under which MailerLite provides the account can be reviewed on the MailerLite website at Terms of Use and Privacy Policy .

What I collect

  • Your name
  • Your email address

When you sign up on my website these details are stored by MailerLite in an account operated by Lucienne Boyce.

By subscribing to Scriblerus, you give your consent to be sent newsletters via that MailerLite account.

When you subscribe via my website, you will receive a welcome email via MailerLite confirming your subscription and providing links to your free ebooks (if any). The free ebooks are delivered via Book Funnel. I provide you with the link to Book Funnel, and I do not provide Book Funnel with any of the details you have provided to me. For Book Funnel’s privacy policy see https://bookfunnel.com/privacy/

If you subscribe via a paper form at an event, I will enter your details into the MailerLite account. I will then send you a welcome email confirming your subscription and providing links to your free ebooks (if any).

Your details are not added to the Scriblerus mailing list unless you have specifically signed up for the newsletter, either by completing the form on my website or by filling in a paper form at an event. That means that if you buy a book from me, contact me via this website, or communicate with me in any other context, I do not add your details to the Scriblerus mailing list. Subscribing to the list is entirely your choice.

You may unsubscribe from Scriblerus at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter. Alternatively, you can email me and ask me to unsubscribe you. If you unsubscribe, I will delete your details from the MailerLite list and you will receive no further issues of Scriblerus unless you resubscribe.

You may request a copy of personal information held about you by Lucienne Boyce by emailing me at the address given below.
