The Suffragettes at Christmas

I enjoyed taking part in this year’s Hawkesbury Upton Literary Festival Christmas Special on 2 December 2023. A bitterly cold afternoon was cheered by listening to Christmas stories, readings, and author talks.

My contribution was “The Suffragettes at Christmas”, a brief look at how the women of the militant Women’s Social and Political Union spent the festive season.
